Immediate Haneda area
Walk or one quick stop
Anamori Inari Shrine 穴守稲荷神社/あなもりいなりじんじゃ ~3–5 min walk
A quiet, culturally specific stop that gives the neighborhood an identity beyond the runway — a short walk from the property area, known for its rows of red torii gates and a long-standing association with travel and safe journeys. A natural first stop after dropping your bags, or a calm visit before checkout.
HANEDA INNOVATION CITY 1 stop / ~10 min walk
One stop from Anamori-inari (KK14) to Tenkubashi (天空橋/てんくうばし, KK15) on the Keikyu Airport Line, or roughly a 10-minute walk. The complex sits directly against the station and works well as a first- or last-day outing — dining, seasonal events, technology exhibits, and open-air space facing the runways and Tokyo Bay.
Haneda Airport Terminal 3 & Haneda Airport Garden 2 stops / ~8–12 min
Worth the trip even without a flight to catch: rooftop observation decks, traditional craft and duty-free shopping, a wide range of dining, and Izumi Tenku no Yu in the connected Haneda Airport Garden complex.

Easy urban outings: Yokohama and Kawasaki
The real location advantage
Yokohama 横浜/よこはま ~30–45 min
This is the strongest transit advantage of staying along the Keikyu Airport Line. Minato Mirai's waterfront towers, Yokohama Chinatown (中華街), the Red Brick Warehouse, and Yamashita Park are all reachable as a coherent day trip.
Route logic: some Keikyu services run through toward Yokohama without a change; others require a transfer at Keikyu Kamata (京急蒲田/けいきゅうかまた). Check the train's destination and direction before boarding.
Kawasaki 川崎/かわさき ~20–35 min
A practical commercial city for shopping, dining, and business, usually reached via a transfer at Keikyu Kamata onward to Keikyu Kawasaki. For heritage and tradition, Kawasaki Daishi (川崎大師/かわさきだいし, formally Heikenji Temple) is one of the region's most prominent temples.
Staying close to Haneda doesn't mean choosing between Tokyo and Yokohama — it means both stay inside easy reach of the same base.
Tokyo outings: Ginza and Shibuya
Accessible, but treat as a full day
Ginza & Tsukiji 銀座/ぎんざ・築地/つきじ ~35–50 min
A coherent eastern-Tokyo day for shopping, art, and food culture. The usual route runs toward Shinagawa and the Toei Asakusa Line corridor; some Keikyu trains through-run directly onto the Asakusa Line toward Higashi-ginza, which can cut a transfer — but check the live route rather than assuming it every time. Pair a morning at Tsukiji Outer Market with an afternoon in Ginza.
GINZA OFFICIAL visitor information · GO TOKYO guide to Tsukiji
Shibuya 渋谷/しぶや ~40–55 min
Tokyo's best-known modern hub — the Scramble Crossing, Shibuya Sky, and dense dining and nightlife districts. The clearest route is Keikyu to Shinagawa, then the JR Yamanote Line onward to Shibuya.
It's genuinely accessible from a Haneda-area stay — but it isn't this location's unique advantage. Plenty of Tokyo hotels sit closer to Shibuya. If a return trip runs late, keep an eye on the last practical Keikyu connection back through Shinagawa.
Tokyo Bay excursion: Odaiba and Toyosu
One planned circuit, not two quick stops
Odaiba and Toyosu work best treated as a single, planned itinerary rather than separate errands.
Odaiba お台場/おだいば ~40–60 min
Waterfront parks, entertainment complexes, shopping, and evening views of the Rainbow Bridge. Two workable routes are via Tenkubashi and the Tokyo Monorail–Rinkai Line transfer at Tennozu Isle, or via Shimbashi onto the Yurikamome elevated line. The two Tennozu Isle stations are separate buildings, so compare live routes and walking time before choosing.
Toyosu 豊洲/とよす ~50–70 min
Home to the Toyosu Wholesale Market, the Edo-themed Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai dining and bath complex, and teamLab Planets. Check ticket availability and book teamLab in advance when possible. Toyosu sits on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line and the Yurikamome, reached from Anamori-inari in several stages. Pair it with Odaiba as a single waterfront circuit rather than a stand-alone stop.
Insider note: the fastest theoretical route is not always the easiest. Compare the number of transfers, walking between stations and the direction of each service, then choose the route that is easiest for your group to follow.
Three ready-made days
The Yokohama waterfront day
- Leave after breakfast; check the current Keikyu route toward Yokohama.
- Start at Yokohama Station or Minato Mirai.
- Walk the waterfront, then the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park if energy allows.
- Yokohama Chinatown for lunch or dinner.
- Return toward Anamori-inari with a time buffer — don't rely on the last practical connection.
Best for: international travelers, couples, repeat Tokyo visitors, and guests connecting a Haneda stay with Yokohama business or a cruise departure.
The Tokyo Bay circuit
- Travel toward Toyosu; start at the market area or Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai.
- Visit teamLab Planets if you have confirmed ticket availability.
- Continue by Yurikamome toward Odaiba.
- Use the waterfront, museums, shopping, or sunset views for the second half of the day.
- Choose your return route based on live service, transfer count and walking time.
Best for: families, first-time visitors, and anyone with a fully open day.
The eastern Tokyo food & architecture day
- Tsukiji Outer Market for breakfast or an early lunch — check individual shop hours.
- Continue to Ginza for shopping, cafés, and architecture.
- Add Hama-rikyu Gardens or Shimbashi if the group wants more walking.
- Return before the evening rush where possible, especially with children.
Best for: food-focused and shopping travelers who prefer one coherent district over crossing Tokyo repeatedly.
How to choose your outing after you land
If you landed late, stay local: walk to the shrine, eat near Tenkubashi, get some sleep. Save Yokohama or Ginza for the full day that the two-night minimum stay is built around.
If you have an early flight the next morning, keep your outing inside the immediate area and confirm the last practical Keikyu return with a comfortable buffer.
Why Haneda can work for a longer stay
Haneda is not only a transit location. For travelers whose plans extend across southern Tokyo and Kanagawa, it can be a practical multi-night base: Shinagawa, Kawasaki and Yokohama remain in the same broad rail corridor, while the immediate neighborhood is calmer than Tokyo's major entertainment districts.
A residential base with everyday facilities
Stark House Tokyo Haneda combines a private studio with an IH kitchen and in-unit laundry. That matters most over several nights: guests can prepare simple meals, wash clothes and return to the same base instead of repeatedly changing hotels.
Best for one or two guests staying several nights
The approximately 20 m² studios are most comfortable for a solo traveler or couple who values privacy and practical amenities. A family or group of up to four can stay, but the room becomes compact once the floor futon is in use. Longer-stay guests should choose based on space needs, not capacity alone.
Choose the location for the shape of your trip
This base is especially logical when the itinerary mixes Haneda Airport, Shinagawa, Kawasaki and Yokohama. If every evening is centered on Shibuya or western Tokyo, a hotel in that area will reduce late-night travel. The best base is the one that removes the most repeated journeys from the whole stay.
Where to stay: Stark House Tokyo Haneda
Two private studios at 4-4-28 Haneda, Ota Ward — about a 3-minute walk from Anamori-inari Station. The location works for an airport-focused visit and for a multi-night itinerary spanning Shinagawa, Kawasaki, Yokohama and selected Tokyo districts.
Room 202 · Navy
20.25 m² private studio. Double bed plus an extra floor futon, up to 4 guests. Full IH kitchen, in-unit washer/dryer, private bathroom with soaking tub, self check-in.
Room 401 · Yellow
20.03 m² private studio. Same layout and amenities as Room 202, up to 4 guests.
Four guests means sharing roughly 20 m² once the floor futon is laid out — read the sleep plan before booking a full group. Two-night minimum stay.
Who this base suits
- Late arrivals and early departures who still want one proper outing day.
- Travelers combining central Tokyo with Yokohama or Kawasaki.
- Solo guests and couples planning a practical multi-night stay.
- Business travelers who need repeat access to Haneda, Shinagawa or Kawasaki.
- Small families who are comfortable with a floor futon and a 20 m² room.
Who may prefer somewhere else
If the trip is built entirely around Shibuya nightlife, staying closer to Shibuya may save time. Groups of four adults who each want a raised bed should also compare larger accommodation before booking.
Frequently asked questions
Is Yokohama close to Haneda?
It is one of the more practical full destinations from the Haneda side of Tokyo. Some Keikyu services run toward Yokohama without a change; others require a transfer at Keikyu Kamata. Plan 30 to 45 minutes from the Anamori-inari area and check the train in front of you.
Can I visit Shibuya from a Haneda-area stay?
Yes, as a planned Tokyo outing, typically via Shinagawa and the JR Yamanote Line, in roughly 40 to 55 minutes. It is accessible — it is not the unique advantage of this address.
What can I do near Haneda without going into central Tokyo?
Anamori Inari Shrine, HANEDA INNOVATION CITY at Tenkubashi, Terminal 3, and Haneda Airport Garden. Kawasaki is the next step up if you want more than a neighborhood walk.
Is Odaiba near Haneda Airport?
No. Treat Odaiba, and Toyosu, as a planned Tokyo Bay day with transfers — typically 40 to 60 minutes for Odaiba and 50 to 70 minutes for Toyosu. The Tennozu Isle connection involves a walk between stations.
How far is Stark House Tokyo Haneda from the airport?
About a 3-minute walk to Anamori-inari Station, and two Keikyu Airport Line stops to Haneda Airport Terminal 3. Treat both as approximate and confirm against the live listing.
How many people can stay?
Up to four guests per studio, with a double bed plus an extra floor futon. Four adults will be sharing about 20 square meters, so confirm the current listing and sleep plan before booking a full group.
Is the Haneda area practical for a longer stay?
It can be, especially for one or two guests whose plans include Haneda Airport, Shinagawa, Kawasaki and Yokohama. The private kitchen and in-unit laundry support a multi-night stay, while travelers focused mainly on western Tokyo may prefer a base closer to that side of the city.
Ready to book
Use Haneda when flight timing matters, or when one stay needs to connect Shinagawa, Kawasaki, Yokohama and selected Tokyo districts. Stark House Tokyo Haneda combines that location with the everyday independence of a private kitchen and in-unit laundry.
